The Current Affairs of Immortals Clan

To shed some light as to what's going on:
The whole point of being in a clan is to enjoy yourself and your time spent with the other members. That is a large reason as to why there is a so-called "trial" period for most clans. It's not just to test a players skills, and not just for the clan to get to know the player, but for the player to get to know the clan; to see if he meshes with them, and is a good fit. Once, however, you no longer feel that pull towards being in a clan, then it is time for you to move on.
_Dionysus_, the founder of Immortals, found himself in just that position for a while now. He no longer felt the pull, and on March 22nd, 2011, had decided (with this post) that it was finally time to disband the clan.
_Cupid_ and I both voiced our opinions against it, and _Dionysus_ changed his mind into simply leaving Immortals instead.
Now we are, as a clan, discussing what to do from here on out. Who will stay, who will lead, and in general our both current and future plans for Immortals.
As of now, Immortals is still alive.

Immortals Closing Down

After months of thinking about it, I have finally decided to close down Immortals.
It was a difficult decision, but one that I feel is for the better. The clan lacks the energy and spirit it was founded with, we have lost key players like Matt and others like Ra and Athena have just been too busy to play the amount that they used to. A clan can bring in new players but it can't replace any. Talent was never the issue, as we could have continued with strong players like Raiden, Surya and well, pretty much everyone else who was on the roster.
The timing is right. There is enough time for everyone to find new teams in time for RTS League 28 and WCL7. Our players will make strong additions to other teams, and I'm sure you will find many Immortals on the rosters of the top 3 finishers in the upcoming WCL.
I can safely say that nobody will find a clan as good as this. You can find more active clans, clans with more talent, but when this clan was founded it was done so with a strong bond of friendship and it carried on like that for almost 2 years. We were a few months shy of the 3 year anniversary of the founding. It would have been wonderful to make it to 3 but this isn't about personal vanity or an empty milestone, it's about what's best for everyone who was a part of this clan. It may not feel like it's what's best now, but I can't carry on running this clan with no ambition and no care.
In recent months I have been capricious and that is partly to blame for this clan's demise. Erratic as I may have been at times with impulsive decisions and lack of vision, I think even my worst critics can agree it was overshadowed by the sad fact that the core of this clan simply ceased to be.
I wish everyone the best of luck and I am thankful for all the great times I had. The website and forums will remain up for the forseeable future so that we friends can stay in touch, share new games and experiences and so that all our fans and friends of the clan can view our old games and keep track of us as well.

March 9, 2011 at 10:21 pmToday Louay turns 21. Sadly for him he lives in Canada and it's not such a milestone there as it is America. Because of that we wish him an especially happy birthday since to him 21 will probably be like any other year!
